Description: Acacia Ridge Community Hall is a multipurpose brick hall, located at 13 Coley Street, Acacia Ridge.

This venue is accessible by public transport, the nearest bus stop is located on ‘Mitchell Street at Acacia Ridge East, Acacia Ridge’. There is on-site parking, which includes two accessible parking spaces within a short distance of the main entry.

All doors both internal and external are manual doors and are a minimum of 0.9 metres wide. Inside all areas have vinyl flooring, except for Meeting Room 2 which has carpet. All areas are air-conditioned. All the tables in this venue fold down and have wheels to make them easier to move and store. Entry to the facility is through glass double doors at the front of the building. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader on the wall to the left of this door.

Through this door is a corridor approximately four metres long that then intersects with a second corridor that runs perpendicular to the first. To the left are the meeting rooms and amenities, with access to the hall to the right.

Turning left into the secondary corridor, immediately on the left-hand side is a grey door leading into Meeting Room 1. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the right of this door. Meeting Room 1 can accommodate up to seven people. Directly opposite the door are floor-to-ceiling windows with blinds that are operated with a pulley system. Tables and chairs are stored along the right-hand wall.

Directly opposite Meeting Room 1 is the door to Meeting Room 2. This meeting room can accommodate up to 36 people and features a kitchenette that runs halfway down the left-hand wall. The kitchenette includes a bar fridge, benchtop microwave, sink, and a boiling and chilled water tap. The sink and benches are not wheelchair accessible. Tables and chairs are stored next to the kitchenette along the left-hand wall of the room. Meeting Room 2 also features a projector and speakers. Along the right-hand wall are three sets of large frosted windows. At each end of this wall are glass and aluminium doors that provide access into the main hall.

Returning to the secondary corridor and continuing in the direction of the amenities for four metres, there is a grey door on the left that leads to the male toilets. Continuing for another two and a half metres, to the left is a second grey door that leads to a unisex accessible toilet with right-hand transfer and a baby change table. At the end of this corridor is a grey door that leads to the female toilets. Both male and female bathrooms have an ambulant toilet with assistance rails. All toilets feature braille signage adjacent to each door.

Returning to the main entry corridor and turning right into the secondary corridor, there are grey double-leaf doors on the left that open to the hall. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door. The hall space can accommodate up to 152 people. The hall features a piano, an infrared hearing loop system and a projector and speakers. The audio-visual controls, piano and a table storage area are located in the back right corner of the hall. In the back left corner are double-leaf glass and aluminium doors that open to a chair and table storage room.

The hall’s kitchen is accessed through a black door halfway down the right side of the hall. The kitchen includes a cooktop and oven which is for reheating food only, also included is a fridge with freezer, double sink, benchtop microwave, boiling and chilled water tap, wall-mounted boiling water unit, and a servery window that adjoins the hall. The sink is wheelchair accessible.

A glass sliding door at the back of the hall leads to an outside seating area. This is an undercover area with knee-height benches that run along the outer retaining walls. There is a concrete path that wraps around the corner to the right, which connects to the car park. This concludes the tour of the Acacia Ridge Community Hall.
