Sandgate Town Hall is a multi-level, brick hall located on the corner of Cliff and Seymour Streets, Sandgate. This venue is accessible by public transport, bus stop ‘Brighton Road at Sandgate Central, stop 34/33’ is approximately 70 metres from the hall. Limited street parking is available along Cliff Street, Brighton Road, and Seymour Street.

This venue consists of the main hall with mezzanine gallery seating, a small meeting room on the lower level of the main hall, and a separate self-contained meeting room. There are also public toilets located on the lower level, accessed from Cliff Street. At this venue all doors both internal and external are manual doors and are a minimum of 0.8 metres wide. The main hall has an infrared hearing loop system. All hireable areas are air-conditioned.

The main entry to the hall is through white double swing doors, accessed from Seymour Street. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader located on the wall to the right of this door. The doors open into the main hall, with the table storage area to the left. All tables at this venue have fold down and have wheels to make them easier to move and store. The main hall has polished timber flooring, the kitchen has vinyl flooring and the amenities are tiled. To the right of the main entry is a white door which opens to the kitchen. The kitchen includes a fridge with freezer, benchtop microwave, sink, wall mounted instant boiling water unit, dishwasher, and a cooktop and oven which is used for reheating food only. The kitchen also features a servery window with wooden shutters which opens to the main hall.

Access to the mezzanine gallery seating is accessed through a white door to the left of the main entrance adjacent to the table storage area. Handrails are provided on either side of the staircase as well as tactile ground surface indicators at the bottom and top of the stairs.

The main hall can accommodate up to 231 people. A large stage is positioned at the front of the hall and can be accessed using stairs located through a white door to the left of the stage. The stage features a piano and advanced audio-visual system which includes a projector, speakers, and stage lighting. Audio-visual controls are located right of stage.

The chair storage room is located on the right-side wall through the first set of white double swing doors. A further four sets of white double swing doors lead to a corridor that runs parallel to the main hall. The corridor provides access to the amenities and back of stage areas.

At the end of the corridor is a set of stairs leading up to the dressing room with additional stage access, and another set of stairs leading down to additional shared amenities, and access to Meeting Room 1. Adjacent to the stairs, on the right at the end of the corridor, is a unisex accessible toilet with left-hand transfer.

To the right of the unisex toilet is a secondary corridor that has a slight incline and handrail along the left wall. The female toilets are located at the end of this corridor with the male toilets on the left. Both male and female toilets each have an ambulant toilet with assistance rails. All toilets feature braille signage adjacent to each door.

Meeting Room 1 is located on the lower level of the building and is accessed from the footpath around the left corner of the building from the main entry. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader located to the left of the external beige door.

Meeting Room 1 can accommodate up to 19 people. The room has vinyl flooring with tables and chairs are stored against the wall. A wall mounted television with speakers is located on the right wall. A kitchenette is located through a narrow hallway opposite the entry door. The kitchenette features a fridge, sink, benchtop microwave, and a boiling and chilled water tap. The sink is wheelchair accessible. Shared amenities, including a unisex toilet and shower is located through a white door to the right of the kitchenette. This toilet features braille signage on the door.

Meeting room 2 is separate to the main hall building and is best accessed from Cliff Street. An accessible ramp leads from the footpath to the glass and aluminium entry door. A swipe card is required for access using the white card reader located to the right of this door.

Meeting Room 2 can accommodate up to 17 people. Tables and chairs are stored along the walls. A kitchenette is to the left of the entry positioned within its own alcove. The kitchenette features a bar fridge, sink, benchtop microwave, and boiling and chilled water tap. The sink and benchtops are not wheelchair accessible. A unisex toilet is located through a grey door to the right of the kitchenette entry way. The meeting room is carpeted, the kitchenette has vinyl flooring, and the bathroom is tiled.

The public toilets include a unisex accessible toilet with right-hand transfer, accessed from Cliff Street using an accessible ramp with assistance rails on either side. The female toilets are located at the base of the accessible ramp, and the male toilets are approximately 5 metres down the footpath to the right of the female toilets. All toilets feature braille signage adjacent to each door. This concludes the tour of the Sandgate Town Hall.
