Description:
St Lucia Community Hall is a timber building situated within Ironside Park at 27 Guilfoyle Street, St Lucia.
This venue is not currently accessible by public transport but does provide limited on-site parking.
There is an accessible parking space located diagonally across the small car park from an independently accessible ramp that leads to the front entrance of the hall.
All of the hall’s internal and external doors are manual doors and are a minimum of 0.8m wide.
Inside, the kitchenette and amenities floors are vinyl, with the main hall floor being polished timber.
Entry to the hall is via the ramp which leads to a landing with a double-leafed wooden entry door.
A swipe card is required for access, using the black card reader to the right of the door.
The hall is equipped with a kitchenette that runs along the back wall, directly to the right as you enter.
The kitchenette includes a bar fridge, sink, benchtop microwave, and a boiling and chilled water tap.
The sink is wheelchair accessible.
The hall accommodates up to 65 people, with tables and chairs provided.
The hall features an infrared hearing loop and an audio-visual system which includes a projector and speakers.
Audio-visual controls are at the front right corner of the hall, which is the end opposite the kitchenette.
The hall is air-conditioned and has 10 windows with blinds that are operated with a pulley system.
Tables are stored inside the hall against the walls.
The tables fold and have wheels making them easier to move and store.
Across from the main entry is a grey door with a glass panel.
Through this door is a corridor with a cleaner’s storeroom directly opposite.
Heading left down the corridor, on the right, is a unisex accessible toilet with a left-hand transfer which also features a baby change table.
There are also male and female ambulant toilets.
Both ambulant toilets have assistance rails on each side of the toilet.
All toilets feature braille signage adjacent to each door.
Directly opposite the toilets is the chair storage cupboard with dark grey sliding doors.
At the end of the corridor is a set of external stairs.
This concludes the tour of the St Lucia Community Hall.
