The Sunnybank Community Centre is a multi-use brick building, located at 65 Gager Street, corner of Turton Street, Sunnybank. The Sunnybank Synthetic Sports Field is located adjacent to this venue. The venue is accessible by public transport, bus stop “Turton/Gager” is located next to the centre on Turton Street.

On-site parking is available, including two accessible parking spaces within a short distance from the main entrance. At this venue all doors both internal and external are manual doors, with all main entry doors being a minimum of 0.9 metres wide.

An accessible ramp leads from the accessible parking spaces to the front entry of the complex which is located at the Gager Street end of the venue. All access ramps and stairs have handrails and tactile ground surface indicators. The complex entry is through a black metal gate a swipe card or pin is required for access using the black card reader to the right of this gate.

Entering through the gate, the synthetic sports field is to the left and the community centre is to the right. A concrete footpath runs the full length of the building, separating the synthetic sports field and the community centre. After approximately 25 metres the entrance to the community centre is on the right through glass and aluminium sliding door. A swipe card or pin is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door.

This venue can accommodate up to 209 people. The community centre has polished timber flooring and also features a piano. Tables and chairs are stored along the far wall, and the tables fold down and have wheels making them easier to move and store.

The community centre features a full-length glass wall facing the synthetic sports field, with additional doors that open to the concrete footpath. The community centre is air-conditioned and has ceiling fans. Along the left wall are two white wooden doors which open into the kitchen, which has vinyl flooring.

The kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, sink, cooktop and oven for reheating food only, microwave, wall mounted instant boiling water unit, and dishwasher. The kitchen also features a servery window that connects to the main hall. The sinks and benchtops are not wheelchair accessible.

To the right of the kitchen is a white wooden door with braille signage that opens to a small, carpeted room which leads to the amenities. Turning to the right, through an open doorway are the tiled amenities. These amenities include two unisex ambulant toilets with assistance rails.

Additional male and female toilets are located to the right of the complex entry gate. The toilets are accessed through a glass and aluminium sliding door. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the left of this door.

The door opens into a carpeted and tiled amenities foyer. Turning the corner to the right, a white door straight ahead opens into the female powder room and adjoining toilets. The powder room is carpeted and the toilets are tiled. Returning to the amenities foyer, approximately eight metres to the left of the female powder room door are two white doors. The door directly ahead leads to a storage room, and the door to the right opens into the male toilets which are tiled. This concludes the tour of the Sunnybank Community Centre.
