Description: The Grange Community Hall is a heritage-listed timber hall, located at 187 Wilston Road, corner of Daisy Street, Newmarket.

This venue is accessible by public transport, bus stop ‘Days Road at Wilston Road, stop 1A’ is a short distance from the hall. There is on-site parking located adjacent to the hall off Daisy Street, street parking is also available. There is one accessible parking space located to the left of the main hall entrance on Wilston Road. This entrance is independently accessible.

All doors both external and internal are manual doors and are a minimum of 0.8 metres wide. Inside, the hall and stage have polished timber floors, while the floors in all other areas are vinyl. The hall, which accommodates up to 135 people, is fully air conditioned and has ceiling fans. The main entrance to the hall is through a red door, a swipe card is required for access using the black card reader located on the wall to the left of this door. Through this door is a small foyer with grey doors to the left that open to the rear of the hall.

Inside the hall, a grey door on the left wall opens to the table and chair storage room. The tables fold and have wheels to make them easier to move and store. Halfway down the left wall another grey door provides access to a shared common area that connects the hall to amenities. Entering the shared common area from the hall, on the opposing wall, there is also a secondary entry leading from the accessible parking space. To the right is a unisex accessible toilet with right-hand transfer and baby change table. There is also an amenities corridor that provides alternate access to the kitchen and female toilets through a grey door. A swipe card is required for access using the black card reader located to the right of this door.

Returning to the main hall, at the front is a large stage with stairs located to the right. At the base of the stage stairs, on the right wall, is a grey door that opens to another set of stairs that lead to the male toilets, which includes an ambulant toilet with assistance rails.

The hall has an induction hearing loop and an audio-visual system with projector and speakers. Audio-visual controls are located on the stage to the right. The hall has four windows with blinds that are operated with a pulley system.

Running along the left side of the stage is access to the kitchen and the back-of-stage stairs. The kitchen includes a cooktop and a bench-height oven which are for reheating food only. There is a fridge with freezer, dishwasher, benchtop microwave, sink, boiling and chilled water tap and a wall-mounted instant boiling water unit. The sink is wheelchair accessible.

Turning left from the kitchen, entering the amenities corridor, the first grey door on the right leads to the female toilets which includes an ambulant toilet with assistance rails. All toilets feature braille signage. From the kitchen, a set of stairs lead down to a landing where a cleaning storeroom is located through a grey door on the left. At the end of the landing is another grey door that leads to the on-site parking down an additional set of stairs. This concludes the tour of the Grange Community Hall.
