Description: The Upper Mt Gravatt Progress Hall is a stand-alone timber hall, located at 1873 Logan Road, Upper Mt Gravatt.

The venue is accessible by public transport, bus stop ‘Logan Road at Upper Mt Gravatt School, Stop 43’ is located a short distance away. The facility has on-site parking and one accessible parking space.

At this venue all doors both internal and external are manual doors and are a minimum of 0.9 metres wide. Inside all areas have timber flooring except for the kitchen, dressing room and toilets which have vinyl flooring. The main hall is air-conditioned and includes an induction hearing-loop system. The hall can be accessed by a set of stairs or by an accessible ramp that connects to a landing at the front of the building. From the landing, entry to the hall is directly through double glass and aluminium doors and a swipe card is required for access using the black card reader to the right of this door.

The hall can accommodate up to 174 people. The chairs are stored in a room immediately to the right of the entrance, accessed by using a manual roller door. The tables are stored along the front right-hand wall of the hall. The tables fold down and have wheels to make them easier to move and store. Along the back of the hall is a stage that can be accessed by a set of stairs on the left. The hall features a piano and an audio-visual system with projector and speakers. There are a total of fourteen windows in the hall, and all have blinds that are operated with a pulley system.

The kitchen can be accessed through a white door approximately halfway down the right side of the hall. The kitchen includes a cooktop and oven for reheating food only, fridge with freezer, double sink, benchtop microwave, wall-mounted instant boiling water unit and a boiling and chilled water tap. The kitchen also features a servery window with a pull-down roller shutter which opens to the hall. The sink and benchtops are not wheelchair accessible.

Approximately three-quarters of the way down the right side of the hall is a white door to the male toilets. Further down the right side of the hall is an entrance to the back of house area, which includes the amenities and additional stage access. Entering the back of house, immediately to the right is a white door to a unisex accessible toilet with right-hand transfer. The next white door, immediately around a corner to the left of the accessible toilet, leads to the female toilets.

Opposite the accessible toilet and female toilets are two dressing rooms with white doors. Immediately to the left of the back of house entrance is a set of stairs and a wheelchair lift which provide access to the stage. This concludes the tour of the Upper Mt Gravatt Progress Hall.
